I have a new Yamaha RX V-1400 and sometimes when I fire it up, I get nothing. I hear the clicks, video goes on and no sound. Typically, I can turn it on and off a couple of times and it works fine/ sounds great. It seems that it is getting worse. I checked the speaker wires for shorts and found none. I've tried changing cables and unhooking some speakers.


Any ideas?

Have had my 1400 for a couple months. Have not had your problem once I figured out the analog vs. digital inputs etc. Works great. Wont insult your intelligence with the standard, is it plugged in questions. I do notice that the Volume control takes a lot of turns to get it loud enough to hear sometimes. good luck.

Thanks, I found the factory reset procedure and have sound. Now to set the thing up from scratch again.....
