RX-V1900 YPAO Question

1047 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  MichaelJHuman
Here is my setup:

Mains: Polk RTI A7's

Center: Polk CSi A6

Surrounds: Polk RTi A1's

Rear Surrounds: Polk M3ii's

Running YPAO sets all speakers to Large except the Rear Surrounds. Is there a way to retain the Euqalizer settings produced by YPAO and change speaker size to ALL Small? I like the sound of the YPAO Equalizer settings but in a Manual Setup, the frequencies available do not match the YPAO settings. I think with the 3900 you can designate speaker size prior to running YPAO, but not with the 1900. Any ideas will be appreciated.

There are two options. I don't own a 1900 by the way.

First, see if you can turn off speaker size detection during YPAO. Before running YPAO, set all your speakers to small.

If that does not work, simply reset your speakers to small. That seems to work ok. I can't say it's optimal, but it sounded ok to me when I would do that on my RX-V2700.

I tried this and it resets the Equalizer to Auto.

Repost your question in the 1900/3900 thread. There should be some 1900 owners who might be able to help.
