RX-V377 to replace RX-V750?

378 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  machavez00
I currently have a Yamaha RX-V750 receiver for my home theater. It's an older receiver, but for the most part does the trick. The only major issue I have is that it doesn't have any HDMI inputs/outputs so I have had to connect those components to the TV and route audio back to the receiver.

I have an opportunity to get an RX-V377 and wondering if it's worth replacing my RX-V750 with it.

If you need HDMI inputs then yes. Be warned though it is only HDMI 1.4a so won't pass copy protected 4K content. You need HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 for that.
I'm debating on a V385 to replace my V373 because it also does not passthrough 4K. There is a "renewed" Yamaha TSR700 on amazon for a reasonable price I am considering.
