Waited long enough that another week won't matter. Will give me time to play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. one more time to get warmed up then jump into Clear Sky. My now "ancient" 8800GTS/640 had no trouble with the first game. Nice to know there are plenty of options available if Clear Sky demands more power to run max. That's the good thing about buying a great card is you only "have" to get one every other year ha ha.

If you have not tried the Priboi mod for the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game, I highly recommend it. Changes the whole game. You start the game as some officer instead of you know who and vehicles are drivable, new guns, different and more supplies, different tasks, etc.

Oh yeah.. you need version Priboi Story 1.1 and 1.1 patch.

Thanx..I already knew about the delay...hope its just the game key that was the issue and nothing else.

Bummer. Yeah I checked a local BB last night to see if they were in inventory. (sometimes they have stuff a week before release date). Nowhere to be found. They didn't know if they would stock it at all. I bought the original game on release date at BB and Game Spot. GS will have it for sure, and Steam.

What I don't get is some the author's expectations. This is a prequel so the Zone should have more things and yes the VO is amateurish but thats STALKER. The highest vid settings are going to hit vid cards hard according to him. The comments rate it average of 7. Still want the game.

Glad I am mostly NVidia

. Got a 4870 just out of curiosity. Wish I would have save the money for something else...good budget vid card for gaming but not so good drivers for HTPC use IMO....

Euro folks are the beta testers as of yesterday. By the time we get the game....The work arounds will be posted. Already a patch for the patch!

Try the Priboi Story mod for the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. by dezodor. Info at the STALKER-GSC forums or dezoder's website for the Priboi Story mod.

So far the few reviews I seen hasnt been too positive or real negative. Good but not great since expectations were very high for the game. Still going to get it tho. Seems everybody is pissed about the AI nade spamming.

I am a sucker so prob get it and patch as I go along like I did with the 1st one. Hope I dont finish it before all the patches comes out like I did with STALKER.
