I want to run about 20++ feet of S-video and component video cable from my DVD & digital cable box up the drywall wall, along the suspended ceiling, and down to the BenQ PB6100 projector.

Any advice on:

1) Buying S-video and components video cable. I couldn't find the lengths long enough at Vision Electronics.

2) Running (fishing) it up the wall

3) Any other advice/suggestions/ideas??

Check out Pacific cable. They've got long lengths of cable.

Didn't search for component, but you can always use three good quality 75 ohm cables and make them yourself. Not sure what length you have to start worrying about signal loss, but that info should be available. I'm sure the folks at Pacific should give you some answers regarding that.

Good luck fishing the lines through you're drywall. Fun, Fun, Fun! ;)

Some people recommend installing a 2" conduit up to the projector location, as 2" would be needed to fish through a DVI connector. Available Conduit is always "futureproof" But if you do not have open walls, then that would be too difficult.

I've also seen recommendations for running (8) RG-6 cables in addition to S-video, as you can use 3 for component and 5 for VGA (There's VGA to 5 BNC cables available)
