Greetings all, I have been getting ready to run some cables when I move (I will be running component and speaker) and I am looking at also running S-Video and I am wondering if this product works as stated?

I will be using the 12 port (2 gang) panel and 3 component and 5 speaker and I would love to have an S-Video just in case.


Any ideas?

I'm not familiar with that unit, but we always run 2 RG6Q and use adaptors for long S-Video runs... I would be skeptical about picture quality over C5E, but not having tried it, I couldn't say for sure...

You will probably finish your work before I even get started on mine but I have purchased those connectors for hooking up my plasma over the fireplace. I am having a new house built and decided to check those out as well as the RCA connectors that use the CAT 5. My runs are only about 8 to 10 feet but my house will not be done until the end of Nov. so I am no help but if you do decide to use them please post on how well they work. I posted about them in the Home Theater Builder page and some responded that any length under 100' works ok.
