unless the sound card in your PC has digital coax out, meaning single RCA cable, generally marked SPDIF, with yellow or some times orange coloring.

if your system doesn't have that audio out, then no, you'll have to get a new sound card.

Currently the sound card of choice for cheap is the Chaintech AV710, can be found online for around $20.00

also, ur tundra setup looks awesome and inspiring!
ah well you said "PC" not laptop, so that is why I recommended the chaintech. As far as USB i've got no clue.

There are tons of USB external devices that give 5.1 sound through coax or toslink (usually toslink). Also, if your laptop is new-ish, it will have an S/PDIF out in the same jack as the headphones.

For those kind of laptops, all you need it one of these:

CERTAINLY a LOT cheaper than an external sound card or dongle.
WHAT does all this SPDIF have to do with the headline, "S-video out" ???

IF you're planning to use your laptop as a HTPC you need to check the audio config and see if it has, and then ENABLE the SPDIF output. Secondly, using s-video is crap when you have VGA out. Get a decent HD monitor (Olivia has 27" from $400 and 32" around $600) and never use the s-video.
Try this for usb spdif http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/micro/home.aspx

I've got one and it works well.
