Hello, I just bought a display "open box" onkyo s790 HTIB.

When I got home I noticed they forgot to provide the digital coaxial cable for the sub woofer.

My question is....Can I just use some nice rca cables that came from an old car audio installation. Is there some specific difference between standard rca type cables, and these digital coaxial cables? Also I have to go like 15 feet with that cable.

Please excuse my noobness
, thanks,

Randy

Both standard analog rca cable or coax rca will work. One camp swears by the coax - 75 ohm - another says its a waste of money. The signal is low level analog, a pre-out to an amplifier. It can be noise affected like all analog signals but for short runs, likely non-detectable, unless you have it bundled up with power cords and other feeds (which you shouldn't do anyhow).
