Just received this box from Comcast and the rest of their service as well. I'm new to their digital service. Originally I had DishNetwork at my other place and their TV guide screen was so much cleaner and easier to use. The TV guide screen for Comcast and their DVR software just sucks. Its horrible and unorganized. I remember seeing in their commercials their TV guide screens looking real nice and easy to go thru.

The guides/software used on the DVR models will vary from model to model and from Comcast network to Comcast network...

Both. The 8300HDC is not as simple to use with the DVR and with as many options as DishNetwork DVR box. I guess I shouldn't expect much from Comcast.
