I am posting this thread to see if anyone else is having similar issues with trying to display an error free image via a SA4200HD/Audio Authority 9A65 setup.
My Display is an Electrohome 8500 FPTV with two RGBHV input cards. I knew I was going to need a HD component video to RGB converter, so I went out and purchased an Audio Authority 9A65.
After installing the converter between the SA4200HD and the FPTV I was able to setup all the available format choices, 1080i, 720p, 480p, 480i, etc.
Everything was great until I quickly noticed an intermittent loss of Vertical Sync. The picture would be fine for several minutes, but would then start to blank out and/or scroll sideways. Every third or fourth scroll interruption would cause a "vsync out of range" message to be displayed from the Ehome. The image would quickly re-sync for several minutes and then, bam, sync would go!
I called Audio Authority to see if any other customers were experiencing this anomaly and was told that I was the first SA4200HD customer to call with this issue. Several Motorola customers had reported similar issues.
AA tech support suggested I try feeding a 480p image, via a progressive scan DVD player, but I don't own one. I do have an iScan DVDO (ver. 1) and will try and see if I can duplicate the issue accordingly.
Does anyone out there have a similar experience with the above setup?
