Salk HTS Speaker kits

A while back on AVS I heard about Jim Salk speakers. I was in the market for home theater speakers and I wanted to buy the best speakers for the bucks that I could. I heard the rave reviews here and elsewhere so I decided to give Jim a call. After talking to him I ordered 7 of his HTS kits for a 7.1 system. I finally got them completed and set up and all I can say is I'm ecstatic! I am not an audiophile or anything, but I have heard some good systems before. These speakers sound like the people are really there right in front of you. And the piano black finish on the cabinets is amazing.I also noticed that I can crank up my Outlaw 990/7125 combo to where its way to loud, but the speakers still sound very clean, no distition at all. About the only thing I would do differently if I could do it again is I would let Jim router out the front baffles. I tried to save some money by doing it myself but it was a very unpleasent job. Doing all my research on this forum for my Home Theater has gotten me a far better audio and video system than I would have gotten without the knowledge I have learned here. Thanks AVS. Sam Zeoli
