From what I can gather, the only diff between these two models is the front bezel color (black vs silver). Can someone please confirm this once and for all. I'm trying to make a purchase decision.


If there is no other difference, its odd to me that a pricegrabber search on each of these puts the HLN507W about $200 more on average than the 5065 model. What is the explanation for this?


In the end, I'll probably end up buying the 50" HLP model from the power buy offer on this forum. Does the HLP model have the black or silver bezel?

The black front is the ONLY difference. Usually the 7 model is priced higher than the 65 as the 7 model was designed for sale in larger B&M stores with more markup, and the 65 was the "low end" unit, but the insides are 100% identical.


Personally I think they did this for the big B&Ms so they wouldn't have to price match the 7s against the 65s (different model!) even though in reality it's the same TV.

I suppose 'once and for all' sounds a bit presumptive. Nevertheless, cnelson has answered the first part of my question.


As to the second, I'm still curious about the HLP's bezel color - I prefer the black bezel.


Also, now that the HLP models are shipping (I presume they are shipping due to the powerbuy), when will the HLN's start falling in $ ?
