Just picked up this TV for the bedroom, and I;ll be damned if I can't set the TV and box to make the TV go into 16:9 mode for HD channels, and fullscreen SD channels. I have tried setting the box for widescreen, standard, everything, and it just won't go. I;m using the component connection.
I have an 8300 in the theater room, but it's too big a pain to move it to see if it will do it. Would an 8300 trip the TV's 16:9 mode through the HDMI?
