Sample of Stewart THX-Microperf Grayhawk??

Is it possible to get a sample of a THX-microperf Grayhawk screen so I can see how large the holes are and how far back I need to bee to NOT see the holes??

I'm thinking a sample of the screen material about the size of a sheet or paper, or perhaps smaller will do..

Anyone know how I can get a sample or if it is possible at all to do this??

Depending on the lumen output of your projector, the 20 thousand of an inch diameter holes of the micro perforation

pattern should not been seen at a viewing distance past 9 to 11 feet.

Oops,

Looks like Don has beaten me to the punch, I actually just tested my perception of the micro perforations this weekend with a sample I had. At 8' I could see the perforations themselves, at 9' I could see them when compared to a non-perforated sample, at 10' there was still the hint of something. Past that I couldn't tell there were perforations.

Thank you Don, at present my seating will be about 11 feet back, so it seems I'll be on the cusp.

I'll go to the Web site and order a sample so I can see for myself before I buy the full screen.

I requested a sample of the grayhawk material from the website a couple of months ago but received no reply. Subsequently, Alan Gouger, I believe, stated that Stewart was not providing samples of the grayhawk material. I don't know if that's changed. I reckon Mr. Stewart would know.

This is for you Don and it's a bit off-topic. I got yesterday a grayhawk sample and am really impressed by it. And now I want a screen but I live in the midle of nowhere. How and where can I get a screen? I got this sample from Denmark, looks like the email I sent to the U.S. was redirected to them. I emailed them to see if they make custom screens, but haven't got a answer yet. Is there any online store that will ship to Europe where I can order one and pay with credit card? If not, where else can I get a hold of one? Thanks in advance

Hi Don, you and I exchanged e-mails late May. You said I would get a sample the first week of June, and I'm still waiting..

I also tried to e-mail you again a week or two ago, but no luck.

I don't know how else to get in touch with someone at Stewart about a sample, can you tell me someone else to

e-mail or what else I can do???
