I've been searching the web and Usenet and can't find a definitive answer. Can the Macintosh drive the Samsung 240T at full 1920x1200 resolution using DVI? Specifically, the Mac is a G4 with GeForce2MX graphics card running OS X. I know it should be able to drive the ACD HD at 1920x1200. The card is DVI so no DVI extractor is needed. Thanks for your help.

I got in touch with a Samsung product manager through CDW. They have tested the 210T and 240T with the following config:

G4 with GeForce4 Ti and MX

OS X 10.1.2

DVI Extractor

1920x1200 digital (1600x1200 for 210T)

Caveat is that "text appears fuzzy" under 10.1.2. For optimal image, use OS 9.2.2. Sounds like an OS problem.

Do or do not, there is no try :).

I agree with wjchan, perhaps there is some driver glitch or font-smoothing glitch in OS X. Oughtta be fixable eventually.
