Being able to play James Cameron's Avatar game in Stereoscopic 3D on either the Playstation 3 or the Xbox 360 is going to require a couple of things:
1. 3D Ready TV
2. Glasses and emitter
3. Sony PS3 or Xbox 360 (Xbox 360 must have HDMI output)
4. James Cameron's Avatar game disk for Xbox 360 or PS3.
Now, here is the big thing that concerns me.... Supposedly, you must run the PS3 or Xbox 360 in 1080p mode. The system must output 1080p. At least this seems to be what they are implying. If this is the case, then most of us Samsung 3D Plasma owners are screwed. I have the PN50A450 plasma. It's the 720p 50" plasma, and if you're using it in 3D mode, you must connect the device to the HDMI 2 input, and the device must be sending the Samsung either a 1024 x 768 signal or a 1360 x 768 signal.
So, because my Samsung can only accept those two resolutions when working in 3D mode, I'm SOL, .... right? Damn, this sucks. Was really looking forward to a bit of 3D gaming with this Plasma.
