I just purchased a Samsung SP-P4231 (which is ED) to use for normal television watching instead of burning bulb hours on my IF 7205. I just split a coax in the attic that feeds a small tv in the kithen and then droped it down to the set for the time being. Getting another set of component cables or a DVI up the wall and over is going to be a trick, but will happen. Was wondering how much better this set will get with one of the other hook-ups. Maybe if it is night and day it will give me some motivation to put it up the to do list.

kipg,

I just helped my friend install this panel yesterday. He only had an s-video cable on hand. I will be installing his HD cable box today or tomorrow with Component and DVI. I'll let you know as soon as I can what the differences are.

kipg,

We finished the install last night. We ran s-vid, component, and DVI. DVI was BY FAR the best. We noticed many artifacts, and clay face syndrome through s-vid and component. DVI greatly reduced both of these, in fact it just about eliminated the clay faces. Also shadow detail was dramatically better.

Hope this helps.

I also have the SP-P4231 and have the clay face issue with component and s-video.

Canyou explain further what you connected via DVI? I knowthat Samsung has DVI DVD player. What about HDMI-DVI?

Thanks.
