I bought my first hdmi cable last week from USA and connection my Gateway 5927 to my Samsung TV. However the the laptop display on my LCD is limited to middle 75% of the screen and outer 25% is black. Initially i thought it was due to the content was playing - however whether i play 1080p video or standard def video - the area remains the same. When i connect my Dell laptop to same TV using an S video cable, it populates the entire screen - is this a prblem with my HDMI or my laptop? please help me as i was all excited to finally get a laptop with HDMI so that i can see full 080P on my TV and now am a bit disappointed and cant figure out if its TV or HDMI or Laptop prb. thx

Also just wanted to add that the video on my laptop fills up my laptop screen, its only my TVs screen that is 75%. Thx

Cant you just expand your picture with the tv remote?
