I don't own a Blu-Ray burner, but I plan to get one for the purpose of converting HDV videos to BD-R discs so I can view editted files.
I just got a Samsung 5000 player, and wondering if anyone here can confirm if it will play BD-R or BD-RE discs?
In spite of the sticker on the 5000, I've found than the machine will play DVD-R and DVD-RW.
I couldn't find a disc compatability thread for the 5000, so I posted this thread.
If the 5000 can't play BD-R or BD-RE discs, what about the Samsung 1400 (or any suggestions welcome here).
