Samsung 5271 sound issues and hd picture

i was wondering if anyone has had or knows anything about the sound from this tv? its seems pretty good without any kind of system but for some reason the volume seems to change. for example, i was watching prison break and the sound would be nice and loud then all of a sudden quiet down, then get loud again without me turning it up or down. and also when i was watching that show in hd, it looked like crap in dark scenes, very snowy, all tho it looked great in the light outdoor scenes...anyone know what could cause this or is it just the broadcast?

I would try calibrating your tv. Go to the 71 calibration thread. In regards to the sound, I don't know, but sounds like more of a problem with the broadcast as opposed to the tv.

I believe it also has a volume limiter/regulator function. You may want to see if it's not disabled.
