Just wondering peoples thoughts on the return in investment between the 7000 and 8000 series LED TV? Is it worth $700 more for the differences? I watch HDTV through local cable company and Blue Ray movies....just not sure if I would truly "notice" the diff...unless right next to each other and would I notice then?

How did you get 125hz and 250hz?! It's 120hz and 240hz. Unless your in Europe or something (100hz, 200hz)


But no, you won't notice a huge difference between the two. Depending on the person, it might not be noticeable even when compared side by side.

I think the picture quality on the 8000 is much better personally. I look at it every day right next to the 7000.


I don't know where you're shopping though. The MSRP jump is from $3699 on the 7000 series to $3999 on the 8000 series, a $300 jump.


If you're seriously looking at buying let me know. I can get you a really good deal on either one. Better than you will find online right now.

I bought the 8000 a month ago and I love it. I actually got a great deal through BB - $3299 (with samsung blu-ray) which was a price match from pcrichards. I compared both side by side and knew 8000 was much better in my opinion.


I also read in the forums somewhere that these things will be on sale on 8/16. Not sure if its true or not though.
