Hi Everyone,

I just upgraded my receiver to a Pioneer 1120-k and have been noticing some issues on my LN52B750. I'm sending everything to HDMI 1 on the sammy and up converting everything going to the 1120. I started noticing what at first I thought was missing frames or laggy picture when watching netflix streaming on xbox. The picture would lag for a few ms over a period of a second, then fine for 1-2 minutes - it's a very intermittent problem. PS3: netflix same issue (a bit less). XBOX gaming: similar issue when playing Halo Reach. Sometimes repeatable in certain areas of multiplayer maps (maybe due to rendering issues). OTA is perfect.

After much research, I have finally found an example of what I am seeing here:

My issue is not nearly as bad as in the video. There is a thread at CNET where customers are describing the same issue here: http://forums.cnet.com/7723-13973_102-379599.html

I'm not sure if the 1120 is doing something to the signal - I originally had video signals going directly to the 750 via HDMI and audio via optical to my old receiver. I never experienced any of these issues in this setup. ...or maybe they were always there, but I never noticed? New gear always heightens my attention to detail.

Some other settings:

Blur: 10

Judder: 0 (sometimes 3, which helps)

HDMI Cables: Amazon frustration free

1120-k: Up conversion on/off -- doesn't make a difference

Sources: OTA (COAX straight into tv), xbox, ps3, macmini HTPC (ripped DVDs).

So, is this something inherent in LCDs? Something particular to 750 series? A warranty issue?? Any guidance would be helpful.

Bump

More info: When I use HDMI2 on the TV rather than HDMI1/DVI the juddering seems to go away. Although, it is still present ever so slightly. This is inline with my previous experience running all inputs to the TV.

So what gives? Is HDMI1 different from the other inputs??
