I have these two unit and I compared them using the same source and noticed the bravo1 has a washed out image compared to Samsung. Am i missing something here?

By the way I am using a Benq 8700+ with these units. thanks .

Some prefer the Bravo and some prefer the Samsung. And it probably depends on the TV it's hooked up to (the Samsung looks great on a Samsung DLP, but has gotten more mixed reviews on other displays). So no, you're probably not missing anything.

The Bravo D1 outputs the proper DVI video levels for contrast and brightness. Go into the 8700's user menu in Picture control and bring the brightness to 20 and the contrast to about the same. For any new source you use with a display, you'll need to adjust the display for color, tint, brightness, contrast, etc. Get a copy of Digital Video Essentials or AVIA for DVD player set up test screens.
