Yesterday I opened by brand new 46 a850, sweet, shiny, with sticker and everythying.

I turned it on and it showed the initial message: Setting, language, menu etc. etc. The same dialog box had the option , but I pressed the remote's "enter" button several time and nothing happened. I had to turn the LCD off and turn it back on.

Now I'm having trouble getting signal from the Rogers hd terminal cable though.

It's the 3250 model. It has a DVI output and I'm using a DVI->HDMI adapter.

It appears the LCD isn't getting the signal. It displays "Weak signal". I've plugged the hdmi cable to HDMI 1.

I thought the LCD would automatically detect any incoming signal.

I also tried the Component outputs to no avail (pr, pb & py).

I try changing channels, but there's no input.

Am I missing something?

Thanks.

Note: I will RTFM, but I'd like a little kick start from you guys.

HDMI can have problems with signals. So you said you plugged the component (red/green/blue) in. Changed the input to component on the tv, and still got no signal? If so....

Sounds defective. Unplug it, let it sit for 10 minutes, replug it and try it. If it doesn't work perfectly, return it.

Solved......

There's the Source button in the remote. Duh....

I was very tired, had just finished moving to the new home, the LCD was also delivered the same day, the manual is actually a book, so please forgive me.

Note: I see clouding..... grrrrrr. But that's another chapter.
