Hello - I have a samsung 46" b7000 model. Less than 10 days old. It recently has started turning itself off on its own. I'll be watching for sometimes an hour, and everything's fine. Then it shuts off on its own. Turn it on, give it a few minutes and it turns off. Turn it on again --- cycle repeats.


Anyone else have this problem?


I called Samsung and they sent a service tech over. Of course when he was here, it worked fine.


Help!!! This is seriously driving us nuts.


Any suggestions?

I have the 55B8000 and during an isolated incident it turned off twice within about ten minutes. Each time it happened, it did so when I pressed the "Internet" button on the remote. This problem hasn't happened again and I assumed that when I hit the internet button that the TV did an update and reset. I haven't made the time to research if the TV searches for updates when you connect to the internet.


I know this doesn't probably help your situation, I'm just identifying a single problem that I had.

Make sure the sleep timer is not being inadvertently activated.


If you bought locally, might be a good idea to see about a set exchange.

Samsung tech came by, said TV needed to be replaced. Got a new one. About 7 days old and seems to be working fine.
