Samsung BD-5500 (Singapore - Asia) firmware upgrade to US version ?
Hello.
I'm thinking of getting a Samsung BD player and one of the key features is to access NetFlix. I'm based in Singapore.
I understand from some of my peers that the Singapore model may not have the Netflix icon as over here we do not have access anyway. (But of cos i only need to get a VPN to US based servers and I am good to go)
Question is, if its indeed true that asia models do not carry Netflix icon, can I safely upgrade the firmware using the U.S version ?
