I have just bought a used BDP-1000 (not received yet)

I live in Europe, and it's the US model

I read somewhere on this forum that you could install the European firmware as well, so that it would be regionfree for BD?

Or maybe you would have to switch back and forth between US and European firmware (which is too much trouble)?

Any thoughts?

don't do that. a guy in the uk tried it and his player stopped working.
