Samsung Discrete Input Remote Codes

Hi,

I just picked up a 2796 and so far I like it alot

. My only issue is that it doesn't seem to support discrete remote codes to select the inputs. On my Toshiba, I can program macros on my remote for each component so that my family can switch between inputs with one remote key. Does anyone know if the Samsung TV's have discrete codes for each input?

As far as I know, Samsung doesn't have discrete remote codes for ANY of their products. Which sucks. Because I have a Samsung HD Receiver, and it is the ONLY component in my system for which I can't use discrete codes.

That really sucks. I have the "top of the line" Samsung TXM2798HF and I suppose it does not have descrete codes either.

How the hell do they get away with that? If I had known that I would have purchased a different set.

Does anyone know of a good switcher that will do component, s-video, and RCA (and upconvert to component)?

Unfortunately I have a MX-500, not a Pronto. So those codes don't do me much good.
