Is a DLP display fairly resistant to cleaning solvents? I have to assume that the kids are likely to get some dirty fingerprints on the screen and I will want to be able to clean them off. Plasma displays do not fair will as far as cleaning them is concerned and I have in fact never rum anything other than an anti-static cloth over mine.
- I don't know about solvents, but the screen is fairly easy to clean. Maybe someone else can answer what types of solvents are acceptable.
Also, how does DLP fair in bright sunlight? There is a bank of bay windows behind the seating position that the display will be directly across from.
- It is a very bright set. My main viewing room has 20' glass walls on both sides and it works well in that situation. I don't know how it will fare if the windows are behind the TV - but probably as well as any TV you can find.
Finally, are the Samsung DLPs' HDCP compliant?
- Yes
