Samsung DTB-H260F QAM only gets a few channels?

Hi, I just bought this receiver yesterday figuring that I would be able to hook it up, autoprogram and good to go. So I did the autoprogram and I only get 11 channels. I have comcast basic cable and only wanted to use it with QAM for my projector. The strange thing is that I also have an olevia 232 lcd tv i bought about 10 months ago and it gets everything. Even all of the HD channels. Why would one tuner get it and another one not?

I dont know if it matters, but I live in south west palm beach.

thanks in advance.

It may be what you are missing are the NTSC analog non-hd channels. The H260F only has a ATSC/QAM tuner, not NTSC.
yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. At first I thought it was a bad connection or wiring problem somewhere in the line. It kept giving me "weak or scrambled signal" messages on the screen. Some channels would tune and tell me the resolution when I hit the information button, but it was just a black screen with no picture. I ended up trying it out where my other tv is and got the same results. oh well.

Are there any receivers out there that do NTSC as well?
Cheap and easy way out would be to use a VCR. Coax in, composite video out.
Or better yet, just use the RF pass-through on the Samsung, and use the TV's NTSC tuner.

No sense in adding another, unnecessary deck to your stand when you don't really have to.

I think the OP has a projector, so probably no built-in NTSC tuner.

I did think of one other option -- I think there's a box by a company called "PrimeTime" that has 8VSB/QAM/NTSC tuners.

I missed that part. I read through it kinda fast and just saw the part about the Olevia LCD.
