Okay people, I'm looking for someone to tell me I haven't made a huge mistake in buying the Samsung HLN4365W. I received my set last Tuesday and it only played for about 2 hours. I turned it off and when I went to turn it back on, I got the three blinking lights problem. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and nothing. I now have a seemingly broken set sitting in my house and I'm waiting for someone to come and fix it. Anybody having great luck with this set???

Just read. It's all here. How long (at least 20 minutes) did you wait before turning it back on after you unplugged it? Did you re-seat the lamp? Check your manual for instructions.

If if doesn't respond to those steps then they will replace parts. If that doesn't work they will replace the set. That's what reading will tell you.

I'm happy again. Samsung has redeemed itself. My TV was repaired yesterday and it is working fine. I'd still like to know who else has this set.

The PQ, out of the box, was pretty poor. Real fuzzy. A little tweaking made it a lot better. I haven't played with it that much but it looks pretty good on my non-HD Dish Network feed. Of course, it's better in 4:3 than in Wide. However, the DVDs look great. Even without the full tweakage. I have a Sony Progressive Scan DVD player and it's awesome.

You're not gonna believe this deal. onecall.com, $3,094.00 incl. freight. You have to use a coupon code. Check this link:

That's not the same one I used but it has the same price. I didn't find the one I used. I don't know how much shopping you've done, but this is the best price I found anywhere. And get this, I ordered the TV on Friday, it arrived on Tuesday. I was real happy with the service I receive from onecall.com.

What was the "little tweaking" that you did? I am looking for something that doesn't require significant service menu changes to get a good picture. I will be viewing digital and analog cable, DVDs and as much HD as Comcast will give us.

Thanks,

Raidbuck: All I did was modify the basic controls, brightness, contrast, sharpness, color, & tint. It's looking pretty good. I also have the Avia DVD with all of the test patterns and stuff. I'm no expert at these things so it's not that tough to get a nice picture. I did go into the Service Menu but I haven't made any changes there. One thing I did notice is that the menu options on my set are different than the ones I got from the forum. Samsung must have changed them on the HLN models.

Tintinet: Your're welcome.

Several Sears stores ( Austin TX ), have the HLN4365W in the 'house',

but not out of the box and on the floor yet. Didn't ask the price,

but will visit them next week. They should have it set up by then.

If you live in NYC, there's a store in ChinaTown that would sell for less than $2900 (how much less he didn't tell me) tax inclusive and free delivery anyway in the borough. I think it is between Grand St and Bowery if I am not wrong.
