Samsung HLN617 + Bush VS74377-03 TV Stand

Anyone use the Bush VS74377-03 ( http://www.racksandstands.com/asp/sh...BU1097&catid=3 ) stand with their Samsung HLN617? It appears they would be a very good fit for the 617. I've only seen the stand with a 50" model on it in store though. My one concern is that it may be a few inches too tall at 22.8" (the Samsung stand is 17.1"). If anyone has any opinions on this combo or even better yet any pictures of them together I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

I've had great results with this Bush stand from Best Buy:

Attached is a pic of my setup. At 21" tall it is a little taller than the dedicated Sammy stand, but that hasn't been a problem for me.

An extra 5" should not be a problem. I actually wish the Samsung stand was 2" taller so that my receiver would fit much more easily underneath.
Thanks for the feedback. No one has any pictures of this TV/stand combo?
I have the older model of this same stand (I forget the model #)...It has only one cable management tray on the back, instead of 2 like the model you linked to....Other than that, it's exactly the same. People who come to my house almost always ask me if the stand came with the TV, and they're usually surprised when I tell them it's not even a Samsung stand. I'll post a picture when I get home. I think it looks great.
Buckeye, I've got the same setup as jack1313. It works great (we have a 16' viewing distance, if it makes a difference). The stand does look like it was made for the Sammy.

P.S. Go Badgers!
For the 61" 50" or 43" DLP HLN models....

I would reccomend Bush VS47388 or Bush VS47377

Both are available at Circuit City.

Also the Bello' AVS422T is good too....

About to buy a 50" Samsung DLP. I notice there is a definite change in brightness as one moves up or down in front of the TV. In planning for the position, or height above the floor, what is the optimum position to place the set "height wise" with reference to my regular sitting position? Should it be centered at eye level? Slightly higher, lower? I'll be viewing from about 10 feet. Thanks
lexx,

You want the tv elevated such that your eyes are dead center in the middle of the screen when seated in your favorite watching position. You can be in any horizontal orientation (i.e. seated to the left or right of the screen) and the picture should be pretty much the same... it's when you start viewing the tv from a vertically oriented position relative to the center that things get dim and ugly.

Regs,

Jeff
