There are several HLPxx85 owners here. Just make the subjects of your threads as specific as possible and you will get a lot of answers.

Thanks guys...still brand new to this forum and to HDTV....what would you all suggest as a good DIRECTV HD receiver? Is the Samsung any good? Or would you stay away from it? Thanks.

I went with the HDTivo for my receiver. It's pricey at $900-$1000, but is the BEST solution when it comes to HD DVR. An excellent choice if you are happy with DirecTV as your source.
