Has anyone tried the auto volume feature on the HLP series? I use Bell Expressvu for my signal source. I have tried to use the auto volume feature to control the volume fluctuations between channels and commercials but the selection area under the "sound" menu is grayed out.


Would I be correct in assuming that this feature does not work with satellite sources?

I noticed the same thing. The only way that I was able to change the setting was to run coax into the ant1 line and set it to on, then unplug the coax and go back through svideo. It is still greyed out but should show as ON....no idea if it is actually doing the processing though.

Have you noticed if the volume remains relatively constant when changing channels or during commercials?

It hasn't been an issue for me at all, however I set everything up the first day, so I dont have much time logged without it to say for sure.

Thanks for the reply. I'd make the effort to do the same thing if it wasn't such a pain to get at the back of the TV. It's in a wall unit and difficult to access without a lot of hassle. I'm curious if the feature is only designed to control the channels on the TV's own tuner thus you were able to access that aspect of the sound menu when you used a cable/antennae input. Maybe I'll send a message to Samsung to see what they have to say. I'll let you know.
