Hey. After having an unsettling experience with a HTIAB earlier this month, I found a samsung HT-AS720S for a great price on boxing day and grabbed it. So far so good. I get perfect 5.1 from both my HDTV cable box using optical, and my xbox 360 using HDMI. Now I am trying to connect my ps3 the same way. I seem to be getting "Multi-channel" on the ps3 when set to Linear PCM. Switching to bitstream brings over DD 5.1, but searching online seems to gather that most recommend Linear PCM. Am I getting proper audio out of my ps3 (using dark knight BD and metal gear solid 4 to test)? The audio reciever is connecting to the tv using HDMI as well. Please let me know what other information is needed to get a proper response. Thank you.
