New owner of a Samsung LN52B630. Nice set. Includes "Infolink" Internet widgets.

Problem: Infolink supplies three feeds - news - weather and stocks.

Weather and stocks haven't updated in four days.

Samsung support says: "we have no control over those servers".

I say: "then please give me the number of who does".

Samsung says: "we don't know who that is".

I say: "if you can't make advertised features work then I will return set".

Samsung says: "thank you and have a nice day".

So . . . has anyone else had this problem? Is all Infolink info coming from USA Today? Does Samsung care at all about supporting features they advertise?

thanks - I have 30 days to return the set.

And I will.

I guess this speaks volumes as to how many people use this feature.

Personally, I just tune to news, weather and stock TV stations.

Best of luck.

Sad, isn't it? A feature that is boldly displayed on the box and online, doesn't work, hasn't worked, and no one's accountable. The fact that there is an internet connection is reason enough to hope that Samsung expands the use of the LAN port, as opposed to lying about what little features actually work. I guess I'm one of those people who tests every feature just to make sure everything works before the warranty period expires.

Well folks, if this is indicative of Samsung standing behind their product, they don't.

This morning, one "high-level" tech said that USA Today supplied the info, then 10 minutes later another "high-level" tech said that Yahoo supplied the widget Infolink data.

Whoever supplied it, it was up to me (us), the consumer, to contact them and complain - if Samsung actually knows who it is.

Sony - LG - Sharp, here we come.

What ever. Those brands all use the same service, all supplied from Yahoo. Widgets are pretty worthless. Perhaps someday they might live up to their hype, but not at the moment.

BTw, over at cnet there is a Samsung forum where thechs do respond to issues. Try that.

whatever? I imagine the final price of a product is raised proportionately with regards to included features. So, if we pay more for a feature that doesn't work, I would hope other users make each other aware of features that just don't work. Thanks for the CNET tip.
