I have a 5085W Kirk Model Samsung DLP.


Something unusual is happening -- I have replaced the bulb about 5 months ago, but just recently, the LCD's that come on during power up (they are in a circle ending in a happy face) are all borked...I may only get a half circle or just the happy face eyes...but everything else seems okay...


I was wondering is this the beginning of the end of this TV or if anyone else had any issue like this?

Check your user's manual to see what different combination of LED lights during startup.

As long as the TV is working fine I would not worry about them if they are not correct.

Do any other symbols show in the circle when the smile doesn't appear. Usually, some other symbol will show up and that will point to the problem. Check your owner's manual as walford suggested for an explanation of the symbols if you see any.

No exclamation point or anything -- it's more like the LED's are broken


so maybe at the 4 o clock position, the circle will be broken...
