I've had my LCD Display for a few years now and lately with just the screen on settings for as little as 5 minutes, I'm getting feint images after of the settings page.

Its a 42 inch, I'll get the model number when I get home. Doesn't this sound extreme for an LCD display?

I've always had the screen saver on after 10 minutes.

Even the black bars at the top and bottom are showing up after I turn my DVD player off for 1080i movies.

Are there some settings i shouldn't have too high?

I did calibrate it a few years ago, but haven't since.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Having your backlight, brightness and contrast set high will make your set more prone to IR. I have a 4 year old LCD that gets IR within minutes of a static image on screen. It goes away over time, there is no real fix I know of. Try not to run dynamic mode, it may be time for a new TV.
