I currently use a BenQ W600+ 120hz projector, which doesn't have HDMI 1.4 but I do watch 3D using the Nvidia 3D vision kit via my HTPC. Works beautifully for 2D / 3D.

I want to buy a 120hz flatscreen to be able to watch movies / PC gaming without necessarily having to fire-up the projector

I saw 2 deals that fit the budget today (Canada)

Bestbuy: $999 for the 55" Philips (55PFL7505) that says 120HZ / 2ms response time - I thought I scored!

Costco: $879 for the Samsung 46LN650 - also 120 hz

But on philips website, it lists 120hz under "picture effects" and only lists 60hz modes in all resolutions for supported modes.

Tragically, I assume this is a wash for the Nvidia 3dvision

But will the samsung work? I searched the forum and can't find a thread with someone using regular TVs @ 120 hz with the nvidia kit (my projector works that way!)
