I haven't seen anyone ask for a comparision between these two which is what I'm looking at.

My room is right for 52 or 55, I currently have a 42 Sony WEGA with the infamous block failure problem.

Do I go cheap and go with the B750 or spend a little and go for the LED (slightly darker black levels) UN55B7000. What am I not thinking about when it comes to these two? My viewing area has seating that is no more than 45 degrees off center, it is a fairly bright room but with electric shades, what else am I not thinking of when comparing these two?

Is the LED feature enough to justify the $400 more?

Thanks to anyone who has experience with both.

If you must have thin or larger screen then go for the 55B7xxx otherwise the B750 will be just fine, in fact great. If you really want to spend more, then wait for the new 2010 C750 model, available sometime in the spring. It is expected to have minor improvements.

In most cases, I would agree. Our viewing distance is close to 15 feet so even the 55 should be ok. I'm leaning towards the 55 but of course my CFO (read my wife) is leaning towards the economical 52.

We'll see how the tax return plays out which way we go.

At 15 feet you should definitely be getting the largest you can afford.
