I've had a Samsung HP-R4262 42" plasma for about 3 weeks now and am quite please with it. The HD PQ is very good. I'm most pleased with the PQ that I get on the TWC digital SD channels (not HD). At my normal viewing distance of 8ft, some the SD digital movie channels look almost as good as some of the HD channels. The analog SD channel's PQ is not as good, but thats common for most HD displays. You will find a lot of discussion about the Samsung "DNle" video processing causing image problems on some TV's, I haven't seen any problems with it yet on the R4262 although I would like to have to option to turn it off if I wanted to.
I have a samsung hp-r4272. I have had it about a month now and i recently changed the wiring from component to DVI->HDMI and i do see a great difference. Before with the component wires i was seeing backgrounds with some wavy lines usually noticeable on the sides of the screen or in between scenes or commercials when the screen goes blank. All in all im happy with it. Hope you will be to.

That's good info lrd. I also have the Samsung HP-R4272, but use component cable from my DVD to the TV. I do have hdmi components, but have never used that connection yet... I might just get a hdmi cable just to see what it looks like :)
