So my child basically threw something at my Samsung PN58B860, the screen cracked. The screen is black now, and makes an annoying buzzing sound but still has sound from one of the inputs. Is it even possible or worth it to replace one of these screens? Thanks. The crack didn't dent in the screen or anything, just cracked glass.

Thanks again

The plasma panel is destroyed. The cost for parts and labor to replace the cracked panel often exceeds the price of a whole new replacement TV. Also, when the panel suffers a sudden shock and "failure" like this sometimes it takes out a circuit board so it could run even more.

You'll need to call some repair shops and see what's involved in getting an accurate estimate.

Got homeowner's or renter's insurance?

Ouch. Did you happen to buy it with a credit card that offers accidental damage?
