Sure. This post is for folks who feel better about buying a TV from Amazon, for whatever reason (like not wanting to buy a "new" TV off eBay from a seller that does not allow returns).

Sure. This post is for folks who feel better about buying a TV from Amazon, for whatever reason (like not wanting to buy a "new" TV off eBay from a seller that does not allow returns).

Not withstanding anyone with an Amazon bias, not sure what you meant by using quotes on new, as I have brought several "new" items on eBay from reputable sellers - and the seller linked by the poster BM clearly states "Free 30 day returns". I have purchased from them in the past and had a warranty issue due to the LG "dreaded hissing sound of death" power supply issue and it was fully covered under LG warranty.

I used the quotes because eBay is not exactly the same thing as a retailer. Reputable seller on eBay < authorized dealer. I don't want to go down some rabbit hole of discussing warranties but I've had enough discussions with reps from various corporations to feel justified in putting quotes around the word "new."

I would not ascribe much meaning to it. I'm willing to use "quotes" and it's not meant to me a Rorschach test.
