Hello,

I have a Samsung Series 5 (LE40A556) with the latest firmware installed. Everything is great, and I love the TV, but when I plug my computer in via DVI/HDMI to HDMI2, and switch to this input, 9 out of 10 times, the TV -beeps- after showing the display correctly, and -switches back to the TV mode- after about 2-10 seconds, or more rarely, turns off. The other 1 out of 10 times, it works perfectly.

I am outputting the signal at [email protected], just like the manual says, and I have labeled the input as PC, and set everything to normal (Just Scan, etc)

Any ideas? I have removed the batteries from the remote to make sure it isn't the problem. But it still occurs.

I hope it isn't some circuit board that needs replacing, as I bought a refurbished unit, and have no warranty

Please help!

So, when my input was switching, it was because the panel on the bottom right corner of the TV was overheating or malfunctioning. This would eventually happen with all inputs, but each one took different amounts of time. PC was minutes to hours, TV was many hours, etc.

Some people at a repair shop tried to insulate the panel so it wouldn't get so hot there, but it didn't appear to help, but that might help you. Or try to use a fan to get some cold air in there.

I don't know. I never really solved it.
