I am currently having the same problems with the timer or accessing the display clock. The local time is in black color and will not function along with local station function. I am going to try to reboot and start all over again and see if the installation menu makes any changes, I will post if I can figure anything out. I think part of the problem may lie with fact that I using this receiver for over the air only, so you can only select "no dish" in the set up menu. We'll see what happens.

Samsung SIR-TS360 Issues
I am using this HD receiver to access local channels in the Madison, WI market. For some reason, I am unable to change the time to the local time. It appears to be stuck in EST.
I am also unable to utilize the "Timers" feature. I'm trying to set the unit up to automatically change channels at a given time on a given date.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's kind of what I was thinking - that because the receiver is only hooked up to the OTA, you lose some features. I guess that kind of sucks. Post again if you find a solution. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one.
