Samsung SMART TV to RX-V667....questions.

I recently purchased a Samsung UN55F6300AF. I have it HDMI'ed (1) to the Yamaha RX-V667 HDMI OUT. I want to be able to use the 667 to play audio when I am watching NETFLIX. When I goto the SMART TV NETFLIX icon, the input on the TV is......TV. How do I use my 667 (with the 8 speakers I'm running w/it) when I switch the SAMSUNG to TV? Do I just rely on using the OPTICAL AUDIO OUT on the SAMSUNG and OPTICAL (TV) AV4 on the Yamaha?

Although the TV speakers arent bad, I just can't abide listening to TV speakers on the TV that is sitting 2 feet above a jam-up Yamaha 7.1 surround system.

I have a similar setup (samsung un75f6300 and V675), and I have my hdmi cable hooked up from my hdmi out on the Yamaha to the hdmi 2 (labeled ARC) on the TV. Originally it wouldn't work, so I tried new cables and that was the problem. I also have an optical from the TV to the AV4 optical on the Yamaha. Works like a charm. When I turn on my TV, my receiver automatically turns on as well. You might need to adjust your settings on the receiver by turning on the tv to hdmi 2 with the receiver on to turn on the ARC and hdmi settings. Hope this helps
