Samsung TX-R2678WH can't take 1080i over HDMI?

I bought this tv on clearance at BB for a nice price. I've got a HTPC set up and want to run it out to the tv. I have a dvi-hdmi cable connected to a ATI 9200 card (with latest drivers).

If I set the drivers to 720p (or to a modified resolution that reduces overscan) it displays just fine.

However, if I set the drivers to 1080i, it gives a blank white screen. The manual says it can take 480i/p, 720p, or 1080i over the component ins, but doesn't give any info on the HDMI capabilities.

Any ideas?

its your video card or drivers, go to the HTPC forum

I am guessing if you use a cable/satellite/over the air STB, the TV would work fine with 1080i
