Does anyone have one of these yet? I just got my defective UN46D7000 swapped out for one today
Seems amazing so far. No clouding/flash lighting like my 7000 had. Anyone else have any experience with them?

Nobody? Well here are the specs on it of anyone is interested.

Product Overview

Get a taste of TV's future today

Samsung's UN46ES7500 is sure to be one of 2012's most talked about and talked to TVs. Picture quality is breathtaking thanks to some of Samsung's most advanced technologies. And the straight-from-science-fiction user controls mean you won't have to be so concerned the next time the regular remote gets lost in the sofa cushions.

Smart Interaction:

Welcome to the new era of Smart TV

While almost everything else about TVs has improved radically in recent years, we've still been stuck with the same old remote to control them. Not anymore. Samsung's Smart Interaction technologies go beyond buttons, providing control options that are engaging and fun.

Voice Control: Tell your TV what you want

Say "Hi, TV" to turn on the UN46ES7500's voice control. You can then tell the TV to change the channel or adjust the volume. To go online, simply say "web browser." This might sound a little silly, but when you try it, it's actually pretty cool.

Gesture Control: Your hand is now the remote

The camera that's built into the top of the UN46ES7500 makes it possible to control the TV with hand gestures. Raise or lower the volume with a wave of your hand. Navigate menus by using hand movements to control an on-screen cursor. To select an item or app just close your hand.

Face Recognition: Skype video calls, auto log-in, and more

The UN46ES7500 is among the first to provide a great experience with Skype® video calls. The top-mounted camera and speakerphone offer bright, detailed images and clear sound. Samsung's face recognition feature can automatically log you in to the TV's Smart Hub home screen without a password or ID.

3D fun, straight out of the box 4 pairs of 3D glasses are included

The UN46ES7500 uses Samsung's latest Full HD active 3D technology to deliver spellbinding visuals with your favorite 3D movie titles. Just slip on a pair of the included 3D glasses to enjoy a deeper view, and not just with 3D video sources switch on the TV's 2D-to-3D conversion feature for added depth with regular 2D video. And even if you're not interested in 3D this set is still worth considering. Its advanced 3D-capable screen produces some of the most beautifully vivid 2D images you'll find anywhere.

Advanced Internet capabilities with something for everyone

Web access on your TV takes a big leap forward with this model. Samsung provides practical, easy ways to enjoy online entertainment. Once you've made a wired or wireless connection to your home network, you can surf the web while you watch movies and TV shows, and enjoy TV while you chat with friends and family online. There are built-in apps for accessing video services like Netflix®, Hulu Plus, and YouTube, and you can download new Samsung apps, all custom built to work on your TV. Samsung's new Signature Services include things like personalized movie and show recommendations, and the ability to set up and maintain a fitness routine.

i got the un55es7500 yesterday.. i am fairly pleased. i find that the smart hub, apps and such are still a bit sluggish compared to the 2011 model with a single core processor. (seems to be speeding up some what after using it more and more).

i have my light settings on a fairly low setting and i also see some flash lighing or clouding effect(same as last years model but not near as bad.)

backlight= 10

contrast= 80

brightness= 52

some reviews stated that this model is capable of split screen while web browsing, after chatting with samsung, IT IS NOT.

motion, hand gestures is near impossible without perfect lighting. need light in front of, as well as behind you to work properly. by that time it is to bright to watch the tv! (kind of useless to me)

voice works well with the few words that you can use.

another good thing i noticed is, not sure if the d7000 or d8000 could do this last year but my d6400 could NOT. on the new es models you can adjust the picture settings via the menu now while watching netflix. and could not last year! thanks for listening samsung.

smart touch remote.. works great but needs to be an adjustment to allow you to speed up the touch pad. its like a very slow touchpad on a laptop.

does have a awesome picture and sound are awesome. but if you ask me the high tech features are not up to par yet. could be with some software updates!

the un55es7500 has a dual core processor..

and yes i agree it is getting faster and faster.. maybe it was doing some downloading updates or what ever when i first got it yesterday but yes it is getting a lot faster.. i am sure some of it is because it is loading into memory, just like a pc. ie: open a web browser on a pc when you first turn it on, it takes a bit but open it again in a few minutes its like it opens at the snap of a finger. thats because the app is loaded into memory already. same way with this, i am sure.

Wow! I can't believe you're still having issues with flash lighting especially at such low settings. I have my backlight at 14 and my contrast at 91 and I am really pleased with the PQ. It is leaps and bounds better than the D7000 that I had replaced.

I do have to say that Samsung support has been amazing to me. I just bought the D7000 last month and I've already had them swap out the display on that. Since that didn't solve the issue, they decided it would be best just to replace the TV with another one. I definitely was surprised when they told me they would swap it for the ES7500
. Can't beat getting a brand new 7500 TV for $1100! I'm very happy with their support thus far.

leaps & bounds? find that hard-2-believe, maybe u didn't have your d7000 set-up properly or it was wack str8 off the assembly line.

Do you own it, to say it's not leaps and bounds?

I actually set it to the EXACT same settings that I had on my D7000. And yes, I would say leaps and bounds. With the D7000 there was noticeable flashlighting for 90% of the time that there was a dark image. It was really frustrating during movies played in letterbox format. With the 7500, I haven't noticed ANY of the issues so far. I can actually concentrate on whatever program I'm watching rather than be distracted by the flaws of the TV the entire time

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the ES7500 have a dual-core processor? Or maybe I'm just misunderstanding you.

BlindyJP, can you change the title of this thread to the "Official ES7500 Owners Thread", since there is not an official official one yet? I just bought one of these yestersday. It is still in the box until tonight. This TV is so new that there is not that much information yet.

Can anyone tell me if the UN46ES7500 is 41 1/4" wide? I have a space issue and would like to know if this is the accurate width.

Thanks!

^^^ You can save yourself some time and simply go to Samsung's site to get the dimensions. It's 41.2" wide.

I have the 55" ES7500 and I am absolutely loving it. I can't believe the PQ. I agree with changing this thread to the "Official ES7500 Owners Thread".

You can't just take some one else calibrated setting and put it on your tv. Their setting is calibrated for their environment. I know this, since I try other people setting then measure it with my meter. The color, gamut, black level, sharpness and gamma are way off.
