I got the Samsung PN58B860 last week from amazon and I have that dreaded buzz that everyone talks about, sometimes it's louder then other angles I am viewing from.


So anyways, would the UN55B8500 or 8000 series be a good trade off? I assume the LCD's don't have the buzzing problems, plus it's lighter, runs cooler and uses less power?

The best feedback I see is with the 8500 Series but it usually has a higher price premium and there should be absolutely no such Buzz issue. I consider this Trading UP not off as I've been an unhappy plasma owner in the past and not a fan. Good Luck and Enjoy!

Definitely avoid the edge-lit 8000 series in favor of the back-lit local dimming 8500.
