I wanted to share this thread for others...


I have a Samsung 55 inch TV Model: UN55C6400RFXZC


I live in Canada, this morning when I went into [email protected] I got a mandatory Service Update from Samsung which upgraded CinemaNow.


I clicked on it and got a message "this is not supported in your region" and this is where my pain began...


I lost the ablity to get into [email protected], clicking it made an icon appear in the bottom left of the screen (it said "starting") but it timed out. But worse the TV started rebooting every 3mins.


- we powered it off for 10mins...

turned it on just to watch normal TV, didnt touch a button (rebooting ensued)


- we reset it using EXIT button (holding exit button down for 10 seconds then selecting OK to reset settings).

SOLUTION:

- we removed the ethernet cable,we reset it using EXIT button.

- then we were able to enter [email protected] (ethernet cable still disconnected)

- then we connected the ethernet cable and it auto upgraded everything.

- it has now been over 20 mins and the TV has not rebooted again


We did call Samsung customer service, but they could give no guidance at all.


We hope this helps anyone else who encounters this problem.
